Hi there Reader! I’m Harry, part of the Sales Operations team within 3E Advantage.
I’ve been part of the 3E Advantage team since early 2024, and it’s been a truly fantastic journey so far. Before joining, I worked with a leading printing solutions company in Sydney, where my role involved liaising with various asset finance providers. Among them, 3E Advantage stood out significantly—not only did they ensure our deals were settled promptly, but they were also just a phone call away whenever we hit a snag, which, as you know, can happen.
The team’s willingness to help and their upbeat attitude truly made a lasting impression on me. So, when an opportunity arose to join 3E Advantage, I didn’t hesitate. It was clear that this was the right move for my career, especially with such a stellar management team guiding us.
Since joining, I’ve deepened my understanding of the asset finance industry immensely. Leveraging my background in print solutions and customer service to support our partners has been exceptionally rewarding. I’m looking forward to continuing to grow and help our current and future partners achieve their objectives. The excitement for what we can accomplish together is just boundless!

After spending over 20 years in the travel industry, the unexpected challenges brought by the pandemic prompted me to explore new opportunities. It was during this time that I joined 3E Advantage as an Invoice and Billing Specialist. Despite being new to the industry, I felt immediately supported by a team that was both welcoming and eager to help me succeed. This nurturing environment allowed me to quickly adapt and grow, gaining confidence and new skills along the way.
I later decided to explore a short-term project outside of 3E, an opportunity the business fully supported. This experience enriched my professional journey, and when I returned, I was welcomed back into a senior role in Portfolio Management.
My journey with 3E Advantage has been marked by incredible support and opportunities for growth. The company’s commitment to flexibility, professional development, and employee well-being is truly exceptional. I’m proud to work for a company that not only values its employees but also fosters a collaborative environment where everyone can thrive. If you’re looking for a place to grow and make a difference, 3E Advantage is the place to be.

Towards the end of 2016 I was looking for the next step in my career when a recruiter pitched me a role at a relatively small, new company that she had long worked with in previous iterations of their ventures. She highly recommended them as leaders and from my first phone call with Pete MacMillan, he sold me on the vision they had for 3E Advantage and I joined at a time with the company entering a steep growth phase. I was an unknown quantity coming from a retail banking/mortgage background with no asset finance experience, we were both taking a chance on each other at the time.
Initially I joined in the Sales Operations team primarily looking after our Victorian, Tasmanian and Goldfields based vendor partners handling the finance process from application to settlement. This portfolio of partners had a high usage rate of our flagship Fleet Advantage volume-based payment solution which allowed me to develop a deep understanding of these types of products. After a bit over a year in this operations role and with the company expanding rapidly, the need arose for a full-time role managing the administration of our volume-based products. Managing them from the bill & collect cycle and move towards developing these products from manual based processes to being automated and integrated within our systems.
I spent a bit over 3 years in the Payment Solutions role and during that period the company supported me in moving to Canberra and working in a remote capacity where I spent much of my time in our vendor partner’s offices in Canberra. This was a year prior to the pandemic when remote working was not as commonplace as it is today.
At the beginning of 2021, 3E offered me the chance to move into Sales as Business Development Manager looking after our largest vendor partner and related resellers in NSW/ACT. This was a dynamic role that provided many opportunities for professional growth and to deepen my relationships with our vendor partners and their management locally over the 18 months in this role.
In 2022, after NSW was clear from COVID lockdowns and I had permanently moved back to Sydney, the business came to me with the offer of a new role that was strategically designed to further the growth of the business by freeing the BDMs from involvement in credit discussions and transactions. My role now as Senior Credit Consultant is to spearhead all credit applications nationally by taking the necessary discussions with clients c-suite to allow BDMs more time to be generating more business. 2.5 years into this role and it is the perfect mix of using my studies in Finance & Accounting, the relationships I have built with our partners, the product and industry knowledge gained over my career. The results for the business in recent years are testament to the vision of the company leadership and I am very grateful to be given these varied opportunities in a small company.
